Awareness of different things particularly of common diseases helps an individual to keep a watchful eye on its health status. Although there are number of diseases you must be aware of such as obesity, cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, diabetes etc. But there are certain diseases which do not show any prominent symptom due to which the patient their early diagnosis become quite difficult. What Is Asthma?

Asthma is the narrowing of air ways which leads to improper breathing and it also decreases the efficiency of respiration system. To understand asthma guidelines better one should know first how actually our respiratory system works.

How Our Respiratory System Works?

Our respiratory system is comprised of nasal passage, windpipe, and alveoli. Alveoli are the basic unit where gaseous exchange or respiration occurs. The air enters the nasal passage here the dirt particles and other pollutants are captured by nasal hairs. The air gets warm and moistens in nasal passage and then move to lungs via windpipe. When it reaches lungs alveoli are present there. Alveoli comprised of thousands and millions of alveolus which are grape like structures that do gaseous exchange. The whole respiratory system is made up of muscles. Contraction of the muscles case adversely affect on respiration which is happened in case of asthma.

How Do You Know You Are Suffering from Asthma?

As I mentioned earlier most of the people do not know they have asthma problem. Here are some symptoms which are not pronounced in start of disease but slowly get worse if proper care is not taken:

  • The first and most important symptom is running short of breath so quickly when you exercise
  • Muscle fatigue
  • Coughing is also an important symptom of asthma
  • Tightening of chest
  • Wheezing
  • Increase in heartbeat

These are some prominent symptoms of asthma. At start of disease no proper symptom is appeared unless the disease starts affecting your body systems negatively. If you are facing any symptom out of these symptoms then consult your doctor as soon as possible.

Following are the asthma guidelines that everyone should follow to reduce the affect of asthma:

Intake of Medicines:

If doctor has diagnosed you with asthma start taking medicines strictly as medications help you a lot in overcoming disease.

Avoiding of Intense Exercise:

Doing intense exercise for long time is not good for asthma patients as it leads to narrowing of air ways which affect the breathing system. So, if you are asthma patient than opt for low intense cardio such as walking rather than doing strenuous exercises.

Keep Away From Pollutants and Allergens:

Air pollutants are irritants that trigger the asthma attack and allergens such as pollen grains also aggravate asthma. Thus, try to keep away from dust, pollutants and allergens.

Intake of Balance Diet:

In addition to all above asthma guidelines you should also take care of what you eat. Healthy diet helps an individual to maintain healthy weight necessary for proper body functioning. Moreover, mild exercises such as walking, slow running etc should also be done to boost energy level of body.

Asthma is not a fatal disease what it demands is proper consideration of preventing tips. The more precautionary measures you will take the less are chances of undergoing asthma attack.
